E!SPN IS EVEN WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT

If you thought E!SPN couldn’t sink deeper into the depths of woke irrelevancy, you would be wrong. On Tuesday, the former sports and entertainment outlet announced that it would be giving this year's Arthur Ashe Courage Award to Megan Rapinoe. Yes, the former USWNT soccer player most famous for self-aggrandizing flattery used her platform to strong-arm the U.S Soccer Federation into paying them equal wages as men (without ensuring equal shares of revenue nor profits generated from men). Rapinoe is an embodiment of everything wrong in society, to the degree that she demands more money without producing the work. 

With the culture finally swinging away from leftist dogma and socialist radicalism, one would think that E!SPN would shy away from nominating such a divisive figure from their ranks. With Disney’s flopping at the box office behind fairly controversial titles surrounding the “LGBTQ+A1 Steak Sauce” community, like Element which featured Disney’s first non-binary character. The American public is becoming sick and annoyed of being forced to accept cultural norms from the top down. But just like the Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys, no one cares about these award shows (continued lack of viewership confirms) and it is nothing more than a circle jerk for unaware celebrities to pat themselves on the back while regurgitating incoherent political talking points. It’s sad but not surprising. 

I’m not going to waste any more time or breath on this Megan Rapinoe because why would we? These types of narcissistic morally void individuals do not deserve our attention, they deserve mockery. Instead, she is more focused on individuals actually deserving of accolades celebrating heroic acts, courage, and virtue. One person that immediately comes to mind is Riley Gaines. The former NCAA Swimmer was at the top of her sport before a confused, lonely, demented man (Lia Thomas) decided he was now a “she” and dominated women’s swimming. Since losing to a man, Gaines has been a vocal pioneer in standing up for women’s rights in the sports arena. It was only several years ago that individuals like Riley were unneeded since it was such an obvious truth that men and women are physically different and men cosplaying as women are not “real women”. When trying to discuss the obvious truth that men and women are different, and women’s spaces should not be dominated by men, she was assaulted, verbally harassed, and threatened. Riley’s speech at San Francisco State University is proof positive that universities are controlled by radicalized children in adult-sized bodies. Something so uncontroversial 5 years ago has now been labeled ‘transphobic' and verboten.

Riley Gaines has faced such intense pushback from the left, that the very fact she isn’t hiding from the public and is still speaking out against transgender nonsense is courageous and brave. Of course in a perfect world, this type of hysteria wouldn’t exist, but alas perfection is not found in this world but instead found in the Kingdom of Heaven, but I digress. Riley Gaines is the premier example of being “more than an athlete". She is fighting for a cause that will prove to be on the right side of history, while E!SPN will continue to decline into obscurity, disappearing into the cultural abyss as a once proud sports network only succumbing to its own demise because of a perverted political ideology rooted in hate, falsities, and of course pride.
